Using a Ziploc bag, add in the steak, oil, lime juice, garlic, and sliced onions then shake properly to coat. Let the steak marinate for about thirty minutes in the refrigerator or preferably, overnight. Using a small mixing bowl, add in the onions from the marinade alongside the sliced peppers and oil then toss to coat, set aside.
Preheat a grill to medium-high, grease the grates, add some drizzles of oil over the steak then season both sides with salt and pepper to taste. Place the seasoned steak over the preheated grill and grill for a few minutes until it is cooked through. Let the steak rest for about ten to fifteen minutes then slice with a sharp knife.
In the meantime, place a skillet pan over medium heat, add in the onions and peppers then cook for a few minutes they are cooked through and charred. Serve with the sliced steak and enjoy.
